About the Program
The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a 2-year undergraduate professional degree program that prepares graduates to become qualified teachers in schools across India. The course is designed to equip aspiring educators with essential teaching methodologies, classroom management skills, psychology of learning, educational philosophy, and practical training through internships in schools.
This program is affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), a renowned state university in Madhya Pradesh, and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for admission to the B.Ed program, the candidate must:
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.E., B.Tech, or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- Minimum 50% marks in graduation or post-graduation (45% for reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC as per MP Govt. norms).
There is no age limit for admission to the B.Ed program.
Candidates may also be required to appear in a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by DAVV or as per the college’s admission norms.
